Club Update and Training Plans for the week of Saturday 27th January

Hope you have all had a fabulous week – a rather strange mixture of weather to challenge you runners and cyclists out there!

The first event on the triHard calendar is coming up – and this year Kirsty is taking on the Devon Coastal Half Marathon.  Good luck and have lots of fun.  It’s not too late to enter if any fancies joining Kirsty in this epic-ally scenic run on the 3rd February:

Circuits in the village hall started again – It is a fabulous work out and great to see so many there.  Hope to see you there this week!
 Finally please note that, yet again,  there are two runs this week on Saturday – an earlier start and a later start!.
If you are following a 16 week marathon training plan – then we are ending week 4 with an 90 minutes run!

Or 10.30am Run – 90 minutes ‘easy’ training run – meet standlake Post office.

Sunday 28th Janaury: Swim: Either 8am in the Witney Pool or 8.30pm.  Lane swimming. Choose the session that fits you best! (Carterton pool is also open for lane swimming at 8am).

Monday – Friday. Head torch runs are back! Meet Celina at 5.15am at the end of Lancott Lane.

Tuesday : 7.30pm Spinning at the Windrush Leisure Centre in Witney.  Call to book a place on the class.

Wednesday: Run for beginners. Meet Yew Tree Farm 9.15am. (Call Emma for more details 01865 300204)

Friday 2nd Feb: Circuits.  Standlake Village Hall. 6.30pm. £1.50 entry for adults and children 11 and over.  Children under 11 come for free!

I have set up a team for the Blenheim 7k.  Please JOIN THE TEAM!  We need to defend our team trophy from last year!  It is on the 29th April – a lovely scenic 7k run, with a kids 1 mile junior run, and stay and picnic afterwards!:

Club Update and Training Plans for the week of January 6th

Happy New Year to you all – and Congratulations to those of you who completed the marcothon Challenge.  Matt, Jon and Dave all clocked up over 100 miles each in December – a mighty achievement.

I hope you are having fun entering events for 2018!   We have set up a Lower Windrush team for both the Blenheim Triathlon (2nd June) and the Southampton Marathon (22nd April) so if you fancy a go please do search for and join the team when you enter.
