Club Update and training plans for the week of Saturday 2nd June

This update comes a little late in the week – but it gives me the opportunity to give you the Blenheim triathlon update!

Blenhiem weekend was hot and tough but brilliant fun as ever and the most fantastic atmosphere.   The Trihards competed on Saturday Kirsty, Andy G, Steve B and Emma (me!).  Well done also to Jonathon who raced on Sunday.

Kirsty won her age group – she is officially number 1 lady in the 35 – 39 age category.. she finished in an amazing 1 hour 23 minutes.  Steve B was 6th in his age group and finished in an incredible 1 hour 21 mins.. his swim time of 11 and a half minutes is absolutely brilliant.  Andy and I finshed just 8 seconds apart in 1 hour 28 minutes.  It was a PB for me at Blenheim.. and an amazing time for Andy who was at Blenheim for the first time.  I must admit that Andy would definitely have beaten me if he had not been held up during the swim leg while marshals evacuated someone from the water!

This weekend it is the 113 – a half iron distance race in the Cotswolds. Good luck to Steve B, Dave R and Sean – all of whom are competing – and good luck to anyone else have a go this weekend too!
