Club Update and plans for the week of Saturday 29th Sept

With only one week to go until the Snowdon Trail run challenge and the Oxford Half – it’s time to taper!  Good luck to everyone taking part.

The Eynsham 10k is now open for entries and entries for the junior 1 mile fun run will open on the 1st October:

The South Devon Trail run is also now open for entries.  This is a fabulous off road run on the Devon Coastal path that takes in some amazing scenery.  There is a 10k, half marathon, marathon and ultra marathon option – it would be great to take a team down for 2019 (the race is the 2nd February). I certainly will be entering the half marathon for next year:

WednesdayRun for beginners.  Meet at Yew Tree Farm 9.15am. Call Emma for more details on 01865 300204.  A new group will be starting this term – call Emma if you are keen to join.

Friday 5th October Sept : Circuits.   6.30 pm Standlake Village Hall. Entry £1.50.

Last weekend was a great TriHard weekend – with Kirsty taking second place at the season finale triathlon.  Jo and Steve scooped a heap of medals at the swimming championships – including a gold and 4 silvers.. and three club records.. So a massive well done.

Good luck to those taking part:

The Snowdon Marathon and half Marathon is on the 6th October and Oxford half is on the 7th.  Abingdon marathon is on the 21st October… and Sean is training for the Portsmouth Marathon on the 23rd December for his last race of the year.

 

The Eynsham 10k (and 1 mile junior Fun Run)  this year will be on the 25th November… entries for the 10k have opened and sell out fast so book your place now:

Great to see lots of you back at circuits last week – Circuits happens again this evening (14th Sept) in the village Hall at 6.30pm.   £1.50 entry for adults (children under11 are free but must be accompanied!)

Good luck Emma, Kirsty.. and anyone else entered this weekend in the season finale Triathlon at Dorney Lake… fingers crossed for another podium position for Kirsty.

There is still some racing left to do this year so well done if you are still training for that final 10k, half marathon or marathon of the year!:

Club Update and Training Pans for the week beginning Saturday 8th September

Welcome back to Club updates and training plans after the summer break.  It has been a wonderful summer for weather and racing!

Circuits starts again this evening (7th Sept) in the village Hall at 6.30pm. £1.50 entry for adults (children under11 are free but must be accompanied!)

Firstly a massive congrautulation to the TriHard team of WaiMing, Laura, Steve, Jon and Pete who conquered the Wiggle Sportive Cotswold ride last weekend.  It was long, it was hot and it was hilly!  The last hill sounded gruelling, so well done – we are very proud of you all!

There is still some racing left to do.

This weekend – on the 9th it is the TriFerris Cotswold Sprint Triathlon – Good Luck everyone taking part.

On the 16th September it is the Human Race Season Finale Triathlon at Eton Dorney.  It is not too late to enter:
