It’s September and the training plans start again weekly. We hope the summer has been fine for all the TriHards… that you have run, swam and cycled in warm and sunny places.. and now as the Triathlon season draws to an end we start our weekly programme of autumn training!
As I write Jon Hardy is running the CCC – a 100 km epic ultra marathon in the Alps. This brings to an end an amazing summer of long training runs for him. Congratulations all the Triathlon kids who have been competing in junior series and well done to you all whether you have tried your first ever triathlon, or smashed your way into another age group. There are still some races to be had: Steve still has a half ironman to do, there’s the Cotswold sprint triathlon on the 8th September and the end of season tris too… good luck to everyone.
Good luck also to all those taking on the Oxford Half Marathon in October too.
The training plans start again this weekend with the usual village run at 7am (Standlake Post Office) and of course the park run in Witney on Saturday. Open water swimming continues at the West Oxfordshire sailing Club – but please do be signed in by a member if you are a non member… and of course Circuits returns on Friday 6th September – check out the training plans below!
