Open Water Swimming

The water is warm and swimming has started. The WOSC have organised a group swim every Sunday from 8.30am. This is a little late for me and I will aim to start swimming on Sundays at 7.30 am from Sunday 5th May. I would be very glad of the company – or if it’s too early for you do go along and join the club group swim from 8.30 am.

Sunday 29th April  : Blenheim 7k race 11am (10.15 am for junior 1 mile run)

Open Water Swimming

As the Water start to warm up we start to think about getting back into the lake for a bit of Open Water Swimming. At last measurement the temperature was only 9 degrees! I will keep you updated … but at the moment I am proposing Sunday 14th April for the first Early Bird Swim of the Season! A date for your diaries

Well done half marathon runners: Last weekend Andy G smashed the Reading Half marathon. And George doubly smashed the Fleet Half. Brilliant running in very windy conditions!

Circuits Friday 22nd March will start at the earlier time of 6.15pm – Hope to see you there.

Parkrun this weekend – lots of us are heading to Witney parkrun on Saturday 23rd. Meet outside the social club at 08:45 – it will be lots of fun and the weather is just right!

It’s been a great week for the swimmers. Well done Henry Purcell who swam another PB in the 100m back stroke – he is now officially the fastest 10 year old in the Country by 1 second!

The snow may have destroyed the plans for the Trihards to head to Devon for the Coastal Marathon – but the snow was enjoyed, the sledging took on a new level on Faringdon Folly Hill – I hope you all managed to get out and enjoy the show!


Team Kit: The new order for team kit will be placed in the next couple of weeks so that we have kit ready for the Blenheim 7k on the 28th April.. and in time for the tri season. As soon as I have received confirmation of new prices I will post on the website and email all members – so watch this space!
